28.05.2013 - Training 2013 - How to deal with candidates and clients under the current market conditions

A two-day training session has now become a tradition at CONSORT Group. And it is being conducted by the Group’s own – most experienced – consultants. 

The search industry has been changing very fast over the past years. The new technologies have a serious impact on the search for candidates requiring excellent Web-environment skills. Search firms are faced with growing competition not only among them but also against client companies’ internal HR departments. One-stop shop services are more and more in demand now – classic search and selection is being enhanced by staff leasing/outstaffing, mass recruitment, outsourcing and other varieties of personnel search services. 

And last but not least – with every year a number of cross-border projects between the International Executive Search Federation (IESF) partners is increasing requiring continuous improvement on the part of our consultants to be able to meet the world’s highest standards of service delivery. 

These issues were the focus of the hands-on coaching for the staff of all CONSORT Group’s offices. Here are some of the training’s topics: 

  • Alternative sources for finding candidates (social networks).
  • Techniques for direct candidate search. Candidate referrals.
  • Competence-based interviews. Assessment methods.
  • Motivating candidates. Dealing with counter offers.
  • Time management in recruitment.
  • Outstaffing, staff leasing and mass recruitment – techniques and solutions. 

All in all, over fifty people, including a majority of the regional offices’ staff – took part in the coaching sessions. Our clients expect all of the Group’s offices to work to the same SLA standards, and such trainings are an integral component of streamlining our services across the board.
