To contribute to the growth and profitability of Construction Chemicals company in Russia by providing high quality technical service to customers, prospective customers, sales staff and manufacturing organization.
To establish routes and methods of Know How Transfer and support Russian operating departments on all technical matters.
To effectively and efficiently manage the activities (Quality Control, product development AS, CS & UGC) of the Technical Centre and maintaining the structure and environment.
To liaise with the Regional Development Managers and the global R&D team with regards to research and development of new and/or improved Admixture, Construction Systems & UGC products and application of these products.
To assist in the review and introduction of AS/CS/UGC products as advised by the Market Manager, Head of Regional Business Segment Manager and/or Regional Market Segment Manager (as per local prioritization).
Lead the role out of new production process driven by product localization & maintenance (alternative RM implementation) together with QC (Chief Technologist), product development and site management.
Key accountabilities
Technical Centre
Establish and manage a strong and cohesive technical infrastructure with superior level of technical expertise/ support in the areas of product development/modification, customer service and quality management
Transfer Know how (new raw materials, formulation changes, test results, test methods, new application techniques,…) within the responsible region, but also to other Technical Centers in ORA
Develop and maintain a network of information sources including an effective storage and retrieval system
Staff development
Quality Assurance/Quality Control/Production process
Ensure functions of Quality Assurance and Quality Control are operated according to Company policy and procedures and appropriate national standards so as to ensure only quality product is released for sale.
Ensure QC, local development and Technical Services comply with any relevant local standards (GOST) to gain or maintain accreditation.
Implement new test methods if necessary and ensure the test equipment is maintained and calibrated frequently
Ensure that TDS, MSDS and Method statements (if required) are prepared for all new products to enable sales in the local market.
Ensure that product test certificates are developed/created and maintained to provide verification of material properties claimed on Technical Data Sheets.
Lead and support new production process requirements for possible alternative RM`s (alternative RM sources, change of delivery (packaging) operations etc).
Product Development/Maintenance
Initial assessment of viability of development projects proposed by Sales and Marketing. Coordinate submission of authorized development projects to the Head of Development ORA if not agreed otherwise.
Education level, knowledge and work/industry experience
Degree in Chemistry/Materials Science/Engineering
Knowledge of construction chemicals/materials testing, product development and construction and building practices
15+ years in product development, technical product service and engineering environment of which 10+ years of experience in a management role
